Welcome

A message from the California State Chairman of the Veterans Party Of America Bill Gast

From the time of our patriot minutemen who answered this Nation’s first call to duty, to today’s modern fighting men and women, America has held the Veteran in our highest esteem. Uniformed servicemen and women have defended this country against all enemies foreign and domestic as stated in the oath of allegiance taken upon entering the service of our country. It has been stated and reverently acknowledged that all gave some and some gave all in this service to our homeland.

It has never been an easy task for the families of those that serve to wait  the return of their loved ones. The military family unit gives much in the support of our armed forces. Many times unfortunately, it is without the gratitude or acknowledgement of many legislators who would deny them the benefits they so rightfully deserve.

The returning Veteran has always had to fight for the benefits and compensation promised them for their service. Many times to obtain these benefits and to hold the ear of the public the Veteran has resorted to demonstrations and the formation of organized, single purpose groups. Many of these Veteran Service Organizations (VSO’S) which are federally charted as a non political (501) service groups have been very effective in voicing the veteran’s concerns to legislators and law makers. They are extremely effective in continually keeping the veteran informed as to the enactment and status of laws that affect the Veteran and their families.  The Veterans of America have depended upon these organizations and other PAC S to carry their voice to Washington because the Veteran has had no direct voice in Washington.

Until today.

The Veterans Party of America was formed by Veterans to provide that needed voice in our nations lawmaking chambers, not merely in the streets. It was formed to take the Veteran’s concerns directly into the very committees that decide their fate, carried by a legislator that has been elected to office by Veterans and other patriotic American citizens.

The mission statement and bylaws of the Veterans Party of America can be reviewed on our National website at http://veteranparty.us

In California, Veterans must get the party established and on the ballot in order to elect and seat their candidates. The California election laws require that we provide the State with over 77,000 signed voter registration cards in a very short period of time. This is not an easy task in a State that has the demographics and diversity of mainstream thought that we have. The 2000 census listed over 1.3 million Veterans living in the State. With the increasing number of Veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan as well as active duty personnel based in this state, our Veteran population is expected to reach 2.7 million by the next election year 2006. Therein lays our goal and our mission of the California Veterans Party of America-to inform and sign as many of those Veterans and patriotic citizens into our organization.

The organization of the leadership for this State to be recognized, centers on a simple strategy. That briefly stated, is to organize the state into county precincts chaired by knowledgeable volunteers. These people will organize their individual counties into registering units that when assembled, will produce the registrations needed to get the CVPA on the ballot.

As you read the following pages of our website and review our goals and our mission statement, I would like you to consider helping us to make history in California. Volunteer to assist in your county as a Chairperson or a committee member or one of our valued public registrars- the front line of our offense. You may contact any of our County Chairpersons shown on the following page (CountyChair) or send your request directly to me. Seldom is there an opportunity to help so many and become a part of the  party that made a historical change in American politics with only your signature on a registration card.

Join Us today and volunteer for AMERICA FIRST!

Respectfully,

Bill Gast
