Motion to Discharge a Committee from the Consideration of a resolution               

May 24, 2005
To the Clerk of the House of Representatives:  
Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Jim Marshall, move to discharge the Committee on Rules from the consideration of the resolution (H. Res. 270) entitled, a resolution providing for consideration of the bill (H.R. 303) to amend title 10, United States Code, to permit certain additional retired members of the Armed Forces who have a service-connected disability to receive both disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs for their disability and either retired pay by reason of their years of military service or Combat-Related Special Compensation and to eliminate the phase-in period under current law with respect to such concurrent receipt; which was referred to said committee on May 10, 2005, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures, to wit:
