Veterans express
their concern to Dr. Cindy Williams of the Rand Corporation& M.I.T.
who writes;.
"One reason is that much of the recent rise in spending has been
fueled not by new tanks or missiles, but by
new costs associated with military personnel - especially retirees.
These costs amount to a permanent increase in the military budget.
Unlike spending on equipment, they cannot be canceled or deferred."
In 2000 she wrote in an article published in
the Washington Post;
Our GIs Earn Enough
"But
in fact there is no pay gap worthy of the name; our armed forces are
already paid very well compared with the rest of America. It makes
no sense to pour money into outsized pay raises. "
This was the
kicker;
Wage data show that our troops typically earn
more money than 75 percent of civilians with similar levels of
education and experience.
Really --Doctor Williams?? How
many of those "civilians with similar levels of education" drive
past roadside bombs on the way to their office?

I feel it is
time to send the herewith letter to
Dr. Cindy Williams the “Jane Fonda
of 2004”
with
your own
realistic stories of active military family
life and devotion of duty for the freedom of
country to the gal in the Ivory Tower.
My girlfriend
(wife) of 32 years jointly raised 7
children, who are currently tax payers
raising their families, and still have time
to say 'Thanks to a veterans and their
family for providing them with freedom we
all share today.' That girlfriend fought
the base authority, when we were directed by
compent authority to use food stamps and
commodities at a AFB in MI.
What has your
take on this story been and will u carry to
it a vetrerans organizaiton for discussion?

from a Veteran
to Cindy
Williams who was given the "Jane
Fonda" award for 2004 by WE Support
The Vets.
Cindy Williams,
If you notice, I did not address you as
a "DOCTOR" because YOU might NOT be a
real one for sure. I just don't know
that to be a fact. If you are a real
"Doctor", are you a Veterinarian or
what? I do know however, that your
direct comments targeted to the Active
Duty military personnel and retired
personnel are shameful. You have NO
IDEA how it is to be a "Disabled Vet"
trying to live on the little pension we
are provided by these United States of
America. You also have NO IDEA what it
is to be like "DISABLED" due to
military Service Connected (SC)
injuries. I pray every night that I
could return to the work force but I
cannot because I am disabled with severe
spinal injuries and other SC issues.
You have NO IDEA what it means to a man
or woman who is provided a M-16 (a
weapon if you don't know what that is)
and then sent to another country to
fight for YOUR FREEDOM! You have NO
IDEA what it means to be away from your
loving family for extended periods of
time due to military service
commitments. You have NO IDEA what it
feels like to be in a jungle like
Vietnam NOT knowing your own fate. You
have NO IDEA just how hard it is for an
E-5 with a wife, and 8 children to live
on a military pay salary. I have seen
one even better than that in my
career. How about an E-5 wife a wife
and 10 children? Now, that must of been
easy huh? You have NO IDEA what it
like to lose a leg or both, an arm or
both, an eye or both, half of your guts
torn out by enemy fire, or anything like
that. You have NO IDEA what a military
man or woman goes through to keep YOU
FREE on a daily basis.
Now let's get REAL Cindy (Hope you don't
mind I call you Cindy).
You are just about the most ungrateful
person I have ever heard of in my 24
years of military service to this great
nation.
You, YES YOU, only see the $$$$$
signs! You are trying to make YOURSELF
look good on the Hill so that YOU are
the one that will benefit the most.
You should be ashamed of yourself and
you definitely owe the men and women in
the US Military an apology for your
actions.
Please let me remind you that also
includes us Disabled Vietnam Era
Veterans, WWII Veterans, and Korean War
Veterans, in addition to those
currently fighting to PROTECT YOU! Did
you feel SAFE this morning when you woke
up? If you did, YOU need to THANK A
VETERAN!
A copy of this message is being sent
YOU, my congressman, and even to the
White House (under separate cover).
YOU WILL GET ATTENTION if that is what
you really want!
We Veterans sure don't mind telling the
world about you! After all, you told
the world about us didn't you?
You can laugh all you want but you can
rest assured, the Vets know you can't
hide! We want you and other sick
non-believers to
"DO YOUR HOMEWORK" FOR THE FACTS BEFORE
YOU RELEASE ANYTHING"! Please don't
become another "Jane Fonda"! We were
THERE for YOU and NOW, you should be
HERE for us now!

ATTENTION:
ALL VETERANS, MILITARY RETIREES AND OVER STRETCHED ACTIVE
DUTY TROOPS
Please read the information below...keep in mind who is
speaking...it is Not me, or anyone in the veterans party but
some very knowledgeable folks. who KNOW what is going on and
will be happening in the future!
It is NOT JUST Veteran, Military Retiree and those who will
soon be veterans, many disabled, but it has to do with all
Issues across the board: The Economy, Taxes, Social Security,
Education, National Security, Medicare/Drug Program....You name
it and folks...children, older folks, all working people are
going to be affected soon and it is not just the Republicans but
also the Democrats who for the most part have welded the power
over the years....Neither of the two major parties are minding
the store....rather they are giving it away!
As you read it...Think about why you have ignored and put off
supporting and joining the Veterans Party of America!
Please give this some very serious thought and then take
another look at our Veterans Party.
