Tuesday, October 02, 2007 Will the real Veterans Party of America please sign in and step forward? About five months ago several members of the new Veterans Political party decided that there was a needed change in the administration of the party. Gathering several other disgruntled members, they initiated an “investigation” of the NEC group within the party and published their findings to other members via email. These wrongdoings included using the funds from the sale of promotional material to members to refund the person that paid to get the material published initially—the Chairman of the party. That didn’t seem to be a big enough issue for the membership to come howling at the doors with tar and feathers so they started digging into The personal life of the Chairman. We’re not going there on this page. Just let it suffice to be that that charge was about as broad siding as the first. The next attack came in a more defined form-a letter to the FEC in respect to how the officials of the party were elected and if the individual State Chairmen of the party were duly elected or “appointed” by the party Chairman. (The Veterans Party of America is a recognized political party in fourteen states presently.) The “new group” desperately attempted to get the existing individual state chairmen of the party to join their ouster of the Chairman. Not succeeding in that attempt, they threatened litigation against the state chairs and stated they would be “joined together with the National Members in an upcoming litigation.” Objections to the new group came flying into the national headquarters but there was no defense cited. It was as if they were ignoring these malcontents like they were gnats at a picnic. When the fervor splashed over to this author we requested they remove us from their email list. We did this because of a quote used in one of their correspondences about “joining the “One world Order or get out of the way." Not being up on these groups, we Googlized NEW WORLD ORDER. The results were scary to say the least to think that this was happening to an organized group of Veterans. We’ll have to read the outcome in Stars and Stripes or on their respective website because we are out of the loop--we hope. That was one more move by the new guys, they have their own website called veteransparty.com as opposed to the one that has been up for about four years now called veteransparty.usI Bill Gast USN (RET) DAV Editor, We support the Vets
